This incredibly beautiful movement from Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto has been arranged here for piano solo. Best for late elementary to early intermediate pianists, this arrangement requires a graceful touch, gentle tone, legato, rubato, and expressive dynamics. No pedal; it’s all about finger technique here and balancing melody with accompaniment. At times the melody transitions from RH to LH, and the melodic path is marked with dashed lines to help students keep track of it. This arrangement is accessible for smaller pianists: there’s no pedal, the slow tempo facilitates larger melodic stretches, and the largest harmonic interval is P5. Also makes a lovely performance piece.
The great Brandenburg Concertos by Bach can be enjoyed by young and old alike! This Allegro theme from Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 Mvt. 3 is tons of fun for beginner pianists. Featuring a dancing, skipping melody with a few hand cross-overs, this arrangement strikes a balance between RH melody and LH melody. Some hand movement in traditional C Major range, with no sharps or flats. A parallel motion stepping passage rounds out the ending for a grand finish.
Enjoy this beginner arrangement of the Passacalle from Boccherini’s Night Music on the Streets of Madrid (La Musica Notturna delle Strade di Madrid)! This lovely melody is set here in familiar C Major range, with RH melody and simple LH accompaniment. RH melody is almost entirely stepping notes, with eighth notes and a few dotted quarter rhythms, and it plays 8va and forte on the repeat for a new sound without adding significant challenge. LH is easy to follow, with only three unique two-note harmonies (dyads) throughout. No flats or sharps. Great for small hands and beginner piano students who are just getting comfortable with two-hand playing.

This elementary piano arrangement is filled with triumph and joy. Grand opening chords are followed by the memorable dotted quarter-filled melody and the perfect fourth fanfare. Triplets punctuate the bass line for the victorious finish as you ascend the mountain’s summit. With exciting dynamics and rhythms, this piece is best for mid to late beginner level and is a fantastic choice for a recital piece.
You enter a dark, scary forest. The trees are huge and block out the sun. It seems like danger is lurking behind every tree and the whole world is about to close in on you…But then you find your way to a sunny clearing. The sun streams through the tree branches, and you hear birds singing merrily. Your fear dissipates as the forest becomes warm, inviting, and peaceful.
This is the “Eintritt in den Wald” or “Entry into the Forest” theme from Richard Strauss’s epic tone poem “Alpine Symphony”. This elementary piano arrangement begins dramatically in C minor, builds in intensity, and then the mood suddenly shifts for a calmer, more peaceful ending in C Major. This arrangement uses an extensive key range with octave changes, cross-hand arpeggios, and pedal for a grand, full sound. Best for mid to late beginner level and a fantastic choice for a recital piece.

This beginner piano arrangement of “Papageno’s Little Bells” (sometimes called “Papageno’s Silver Bells”) has both hands reading treble clef. It is a great piece to strengthen intervallic reading: nearly all the included intervals are either 2nds (steps), 3rds (skips), or 4ths. Occasional fingerings are also included for assistance. The William Tell Overture, written by Rossini and now widely associated with horseback riding due to its use in popular media as the musical theme for the Lone Ranger, is a ton of fun to play on piano. This beginner arrangement helps newer pianists learn to master a quick tempo, more challenging rhythms, staccato playing, and dynamics. This arrangement is an excellent choice for a mid-beginner level classical piano recital piece.
Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (A Little Night Music) is one of Mozart’s most widely recognized musical works today. This famous theme is arranged here for beginner piano and is an excellent option for a beginner classical piano recital piece.
“Here Comes the Bride”, “Bridal Chorus”, “Wedding March” — by whatever name it is known, this beloved classical melody is familiar to all and instantly transports the listener to a wedding scene. This arrangement is written simply and traditionally for late beginner piano in C Major. The RH melody is accompanied by Left Hand primary chords and occasional simple harmonies that are perfect for a performance or even a special event. This arrangement was originally written for a student to perform at his parents’ vow renewal ceremony.
The Single-User License includes the traditional dotted rhythms. The Studio License comes with a second version in which the dotted rhythms have been replaced with ties; this version sounds the same as the first when played, but presents another way to read for those who prefer ties over dotted rhythms.
Worried that others wouldn’t take him seriously, Saint-Saëns requested this entire humorous suite be published only after his death. This arrangement of the suite’s finale gives early beginner pianists a taste of how dramatic, crazy, and fun classical music really can be.
Very few people haven’t heard this classical Beethoven theme (incredibly, composed after he had lost his hearing). This arrangement combines the marvelously simple stepwise melody with dynamics, a black key crossover, and triumphant harmonic thirds to allow beginner pianists to experience the grandeur of this masterful composer’s music.
This early level baroque piece is filled with stately call-and-response and lends itself well to interpretation with phrasing, dynamics, and articulations. I have included these interpretations in this edition and frequently use this piece to teach students how to transpose using various pentascales.
