Many wonderful nursery rhymes tell great stories, but most are eventually forgotten if they are never set to music. I’ve set this rhyme to a lovely little tune that rocks like a boat sailing gently across the sea. Set in 6/8 meter, the lilting melody and steady broken chord accompaniment call back to times when we would all dream of candies and goodies brought home from across the seas.
